The Registrar

The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of Takoradi Technical University and is responsible for the general administration of the University under the Vice Chancellor. The Registrar heads the Registry — the nerve centre of the University's administrative operations.

The Registrar serves as the Secretary to the University Council, the Academic Board, and other statutory committees of the University, ensuring the proper recording and communication of decisions taken by these bodies.

Key Responsibilities

Academic Records
Maintenance and custody of all academic records, including student transcripts, certificates and examination records.
Student Administration
Management of student admissions, registration, progression and graduation processes.
Statutory Compliance
Ensuring the University complies with the Technical Universities Act 2016 and all relevant legislation.
Council Secretariat
Serving as Secretary to the University Council and all statutory committees.
Official Correspondence
Managing all official correspondence, legal documents and institutional agreements.
HR Administration
Overseeing human resource management and staff welfare in conjunction with the HR Directorate.
